Open the page's Property and check the Template option.
Once checked, a Template edit option will appear at the top, indicating that your Template setting is active.
In the product, you can use different entry points to create documents with a Template. Specifically:
Whenever you open a new document, three new entry points will appear at the bottom, select Template.
A distinct template for the Journal can be added, which will be visible upon opening the Journal sidebar. After configuring it, modifications can be made at the bottom. Additionally, this can be adjusted in Settings under Workspace, Preference, and My Template.
If you want every document to use a specific template style by default, you can enable the specified setting in Settings/Preference/My Template. Note that the Template's activation order is: Journal's Template > Doc's Template, so when you set Doc's Template, Journal will still follow Journal's Template default setting.
Version 0.20 and above offers a new creation option. You can choose "Ask me every time" in Settings/Editor/New doc default mode. This way, every time you create a new file, you can choose from a blank Page, blank edgeless, and Template.
You can open the corresponding Template document in the All docs page to modify the Template. In this version, you can select Template at the bottom of the sidebar and directly navigate to the corresponding document for modification.
Templates use Snapshot for import and export, so they do not differentiate between Edgeless and Page. Content from both Edgeless and Page will be added to the document.
Simply set the doc mode to Edgeless in the Property.
Currently, you cannot directly use the official website's Templates within the AFFiNE App. However, you can still import them via the website's Template page and then modify the Property attributes to set it as a default Template.
