Three paths. One AFFiNE workspace.

Start with the responsibility model that fits your team today. Your content stays portable if that model changes later.

Use AFFiNE.Skip the DevOps work.

Elestio is the featured managed path for teams that want a production AFFiNE environment without operating the supporting infrastructure themselves.

Updates and maintenance

Application and operating-system updates are handled as part of the service.

Backups and monitoring

Automated backups, live monitoring, alerts, and SSL are included.

Choose a supported cloud provider and deploy close to your team or users.

FAQ

Deployment questions, answered.

What is the difference between self-hosting and managed hosting?

The main difference is who operates the infrastructure. With self-hosting, your team runs the Docker Compose stack and owns updates, backups, and monitoring. With managed hosting, the provider provisions the instance and handles those routine operations as part of its service.

Can I choose where a managed AFFiNE instance runs?

Elestio currently offers multiple cloud providers and deployment regions. The available provider, location, capacity, and price are selected in Elestio and should be confirmed on its deployment page.

Can I change deployment models later?

Yes. AFFiNE workspace content is portable, so teams can plan a move between cloud, managed, and self-hosted environments. Validate the export and import process with a pilot workspace before a production migration.

Is AFFiNE available on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud marketplaces?

There is no official AFFiNE marketplace listing on those platforms today. If marketplace procurement or a private offer is required, contact the AFFiNE enterprise team to discuss the deployment and contract path.
